A relatively inexpensive camera that allows you to adjust the ASA settings of the camera reasonably(up to 200 ASA) is the Kinoflex/Quartz. I have one amongst other cameras and I love it. it also allows you to adjust f-stops, etc..
quote:
Originally posted by chas_ucla:
Hey guys,
I have a question. A friend who worked on a commercial recently came back with a bag full of Pro 8mm stock -- various speeds as well as a couple of Plus-X carts -- which he kindly gave to me.
Unfortunately the two cameras I have, a Bolex 155 and a Minolta XL 401 don't have manual ASA switches.
I'm thinking of upgrading but can't afford a Beaulieu. What other cameras allow one to manually adjust the ASA? Is there a specific listing out there of these cameras?
thanks,
